Sara is a graduate from A. I. B. Polytechnic College, Guangdong, China. This ancient city is nestled the south of China and is the closest major city to the largest concentration of furniture manufactures in the world. What Napa Valley has been for wine in the past few decades is what the Guangzhou area has been for furniture for centuries. This environment provided the background for Sara's education. After receiving her degree in Marketing, Sara became the on-site liaison for At Home in Asia.

Living and working in the region allows Sara to apply her education and experience by visiting the 1000 plus local artisans. This unique relationship means that At Home in Asia is able to directly link customers to the artisans. Sara is able to observe the artisans on a daily basis, ask them questions, and communicate the information back to customers. She is also able examine the unique blend of styles provided by the collaboration of so many artists in one area. By having the opportunity of scrutinizing the production of the furniture in person, Sara can make recommendations based on quality, style, and fine details.
